Default DP Ultimate 120

I just bought a DP ultimate 120 that is ready to fly. First I'd like to set up the CG and the throws, but I'm not sure of a good starting point. Anyone know what the recommened low and high rate throws are on this plane? Also the cg range?

Thanks
Al Renkel

lxcoupe,
here they are ,straight out of the manual...
high rate values:
ailerons-3/4"
elevator-2 1/2"
rudder-3"
low rates:
aileron-1/2"
elevator-1 1/2"
rudder-2"
cg=1 1/2" to 1/2" in front of the rear cabane

you should start with the 1 1/2" in front of the rear cabane and then move the cg back as you become familiar with the plane

The plane flies as advertised! Very docile. This is my first 3D capable plane, and i think it is just a tad underpowered w/ the 150 saito. I might try the os 160. I've read on here that quite a few people are using the 160 with very good results. I believe my plane is a little heavier then normal tho. I'd say all up weight has to be pushing 12lbs. I need to get her to a scale. I'm spinning a 16x8 apc prop at about 8600 rpm. I need more stick time thought to better asses things. You will love the plane though it is beautiful.

no lxcoupe
thats about what mine came out at a lil under 12 lbs
i have a 160 in it but dont waste the money on the
16x8 apc
slap a 18x8 wide blade from apc (the so called 3d prop)on the 160 run just a smidge fat
and ur ready
have fun

O.S motors have not so good throtle transition when it comes to hoverin,I would recomend a Moki 1.35 or a MVVS 1.20 or YS1.40L
all of witch have verry good throtle transition and power in reserve with minimal wheght.
You can listen to me or learn the hard way.....

I would have to recommend the Saito 1.80, I have seen them fly with a 1.80 and they more than enough power for 3D. Plus nothing runs better than a Saito.:-)
