Default Need help on Tiburon

I bought this from my LHS a couple of months ago and am just getting around to building this. I've run into a couple of problems. It appears as if I have the GF wing but I only have 1 short and 1 long leading edge doubler. The plans only show the std wing and there is no manual for the Tib on the disk. I asume that the .230 Dia. carbon rod must be bowed to fit in the wing slot, is that right? The manual for 300S talks about some plastic shims to use when using a stick mount motor, should I have those shims as the 1/4 plywood mount does not even come close to fitting my gearbox.
Thanks for any help
Dennis

Hello,

I Dont have a tib in front of me and its been a wile scence I built one, but il try to answer your questions from memory. The carbon tube should go in the wing groove. And then the laminates on top of it. I think you should have laminates for both top and bottom wing. If you are missing them get ahold of John Vanderhage. As far as mounting a gear box just extend the 3/8 stick out and put some shims in to properly mount it to the stick. Anything else let me know.

John,
Thanks for the info. I finally found the the manual for one of the other planes with a GF wing and that answered a lot of questions but I am still missing one set of leading edge doublers and so far have had no response from 3D Foamy. I even left a message on there web site and no answer. Maybe they just need more time.

John Is a 1 man show and does the best he can to cover every angle of the business but occasionally he falls short. Im sure he will get back to you. If you have a sheet of depron you can trace the other laminating parts and it would take 2 minutes. If not im sure john will get back to you. Best of luck.

I don't have any Depron laying around and there is not enough scrap to make these pieces from so I guess I'll just wait for John to respond.

Dennis, did you check to see if you have the parts, but they are doubled up. make sure they are not stuck together.
