I don't know much about the venom night ranger. One of the things I am a big advocate of is getting a heli that your LHS wil have parts for. This is just because sometimes you want to get your heli right back in the air, and you don't want to wait a week or so for parts to be shipped. Plus you can get all sorts of tips at the LHS, or find people that have the same interests as you.

The FP choppers out right now really aren't very good quality, but if you are set on getting one of those, I prefer the falcon 40.
