Default ground effect elimination ....

Is there anything a person can do to eliminate or reduce the ground effect on an airplane, for example, thrust vectoring, or axial/plane shifting ,,,,,or anything??

It's such a transient and small effect, why bother?

Ground effect cannot be eliminated, but its effect could be countered by generating drag and negative lift forces to oppose it, if you can figure a way to compute the magnitude and apply the necessary opposing force in a timely fashion as ground effect becomes apparent....

Since the reduction in drag and increase in lift caused by ground effect varies with height above the ground, rate of closure with the runway and true airspeed, the challenge would be to calculate and apply the correct opposing forces at the right time -

Reckon you coud install a radar altimeter, lift and drag accelerometers and program a micro chip to drive drag and antilift devices of some type... but as Tall Paul mentioned, the ground effect's impact is so small and transient that IMO this would be akin to killing a fly with a thermonuclear device.....

Cheers!

There are uses for ground effect machines.... the air cushion vehicles, and the Eukranoplan style can be made to work, but in the limited environment of a large body of water or a dry lake bed.
It's generally found that adding "land keels" in the form of round rotating objects, one at each corner, 2 or of them more driven, operate more efficiently, and can go up and down hills with more alacrity.
