On thinking about it, probably all of us who could have written a better article, but didn't, ought to be more abashed than critical.

Ask a simple question and I get a 200+ word verbose rant. If I read between the lines I think the simple answer is No. My only point is that if you have ever used any of these fabrics you would know that their application is pretty much the same whether you use silk, silkspan, Japanese tissue, cotton, Dacron, Stits fabric, etc, etc…
see, this is exactly why it takes 200 words to answer your questions:
Just as I said before,
by your freakishly open ended criteria, silk includes silkspan JapTissue cotton dacron stits etc etc etc,
I can answer 'yes' when you ask

however, when Hoss or Toolman or ED DM ask if I used silk, using standard criteria for what is silk,
then the answer wouldnt be Yes

now you see the problem with your criteria,
and why we need you to let us know the metrics you intend to use when we answer your questions

No thank you. I've learned a lot from editors over the years and have butted heads with a few but it is not a job I would care to perform. One of the things not mentioned in that job posting is the egos that an editor has to deal with when editing other peoples work. Most editors deserve a lot more respect than what they get and I don’t believe I could do the job justice.

Has any magazine ever done an article on "secrets of koverall"? If any of you can cite an issue I would much appreciate it. I will be looking through RCU as well. Thanks.

I seem to recall something in RCM in the early to mid 80's on Coverite. A different manufacture but pretty much the same stuff.
