you really wont to get me stared again do you...
none of the crap you just typed has a dang thing to do with it
Its the point why hoss would post such a thing. why he did not know better, why he is willing to do it anyway, why would anyone be willing to show why he did such a dumb thing and this thead is started if it was anything like this. why would you push to let eveyone know he has less sense then to post things that even rcu will remove.
Now go back to the first post of this thead and read it again and again until you gain some understanding of why.
Hoss posted such a thing because he wanted to. He suspected it would be removed, although he did not expect the whole thread would be removed, just the picture which he had already removed two letters in the bad part.

The moderator notified HOSS OF THIS REMOVAL. Those notifications never came from the AMA forum "moderators???"

Now ctrout, maybe you don't understand something so please let me provide some food for your thought.

This RCU Forum is provided by a profit seeking community and therefore it is THEIR Forum, not mine or yours. It's THEIR property. They even allow some people to use it for no charge and to the best of my knowledge they do not restrict which forums a non-payer uses, the auctions and such having their own rules.

With that said RCU can darn well set any rules they so desire. IT'S THEIR PROPERTY! If you don't cater to their, RCU, property rules you will be shown the door as RCU so prescribes, like if you had a mean guest in your house moving your furniture around or sticking the silverware in his pocket, you just may have a say about such action.

Now let's look at the AMA Forum web site. The AMA is an organization funded by the membership, therefore the AMA members should have a right to speak as they please, within social limits, and each member should be treated the same. To allow hired moderators to become dictators and, without any recourse, remove posts as they do desire, kick AMA members off the forum at any whim the moderator may have, is simply just wrong. Now I have made my DVP aware of how I feel about this. He has not replied and I do not expect him to do so, but that is another story.

Hopefully, ctrout, just maybe you can now better understand the main difference from the AMA Forum and the RCU forum. If you don't then, well, I tried to give you a clue.

Trout
why would you push to let eveyone know he has less sense then to post things that even rcu will remove.
????
me push?
It was YOU that brought up the RCU deleted thread in this discussion of whats happening at AMA.
It was YOU that asked (in a rapidfire postfest) why folks were not upset with it.

Now when the questions YOU asked are answered,
you say it is someone other than you pushing the matter?

If you dont like the questions you are asking,
why do you ask them.

Just accept that like recent failed example by Muroc, you just had a failed example.
You wanted to show the junk that happened at AMA just happened here and we keep silent,
but your example fails because the junk that happened at AMA very clearly didnt happen in your example here.
Now you want to say the example YOU brought up has nothing to do with it.

Trout, you ask why someone would "push" Hoss' deleted thread,
well, isnt that a question that only YOU can answer since it was you that did it?

oh, btw-
.. the crap you just typed ..
... he did such a dumb thing ...
... he has less sense then...
I dont think the impolite terms you use are banworthy.
heck, your negativity is hardly even grounds for a warning... yet 'negative' it is.
Do you think I can get away with being as negative as you if I used those terms at AMA?
Cause you know what, I dont call people dumb or less-sense-than or call their posts crap... yet banned I was

maybe leadership has changed since I was paid to wear green,
but I recall PLDC saying (saying over and over and over)
A leader should always be looking in the mirror,
and a leader should always be leading by example

Next time just say " I was wrong to post such things here.
Not more back kicking.
I think I can get by without any of your leadership skills or teaching eveyonr here how its ok. post what you like. let someone else clean up your MESS.

just keep doing what ever you like.
just keep it in here and not the AMA forum.
Or I will be back.

should have known better???
Thats the new defense of the bans mentioned in post1 of this thread?

Trout, it is really hard to say folks should have know better than to post stuff,
when that stuff is later evaluated by an AMA AVP as... what did he say again...
Tim Johnson
Leader Member
District X AVP
“I reviewed your posts and really did not find anything that would be a banable offence.â€
Or are you saying I should have know better
than to have a mod pre-approve a AMA post of mine that was vaporized anyway?

No Trout,
knowing that there is nothing wrong with a post at AMA doesnt stop posts from getting deleted or bans brought by it.
So there is no way to 'know better' than to post something civil (AVP or Mod endorsed)
and STILL get banned /deleted

btw-
where was this should-have-known-better belief you hold dear
when THIS was happening?

That is definitely High Level discussion.
Trout, why was your should-have-known-better belief on vacation that day,
cause you appear not to be laying into them for it like you are with Hoss

By the way Kid the AMA deleted that thread................. should I complain about it?

Nahh ........ their website their rules. AMA, RCU, RCG all moderate and enforce their own set of rules.......... some have a hard time comprehending that.

Who owns the AMA?

Who decides who runs it?

We do.

What about a call to the Civil Liberties Union in regards to the III Articale of the Bill of Rights?

Now if "we" could just get the AMA to recognize that little fact. Saturday, the 16th of July, will be an interesting day. The EC meets and that will be the day that they either place only 3 persons on the ballot for Ex. Vice President, or they either change or suspend the Standing Rules and have all ( I think now 6 individuals competing for that seat) names on the ballot.

That could mean the winner may not have to obtain a large number of the votes.

AMA Bylaws: Section 4. The President, Executive Vice President and Vice
Presidents shall be elected by mail ballot of Leader and Open
members. A plurality vote shall elect.

The Standing Rules, the EC can change, then do something, then change back. The Bylaws cannot be changed exclusively by the EC, unless they wish to get deeply involved in something I very much think they would not care for.

I think the voting members (not those that just think of voting someday) decide who runs it. And you cannot pick just anyone, there are candidates. Once the person is voted and in power he/she runs it (owns it). He (or she) will run it according to what he/she sees best for the AMA. His/her vision might or not coincide with your view.

It may or may not coincide with my wishes, but the next voting cycle I can show my disapproval. They are not in the job for life, they work for the dues paying members and have a vested interest it keeping us happy or they might be looking for another job.

They have the power on a temporary basis, it is not absolute or ever lasting, they serve at our whim.

Well it does depend on if there is a choice........ in many AMA District VP elections the incumbent is unopposed.

Sad but true........

Then some get entrenched from membership apathy.

Jim McNeil was the worst example of this. No clue about the hobby as I witnessed first hand over the years.

Yesterday Congressman Ron Paul announced that he would not seek another term in congress. He does not feel it is ethical to run for two offices at the same time. What a shame that all of the EC members do not share that opinion. Maybe Congressman Paul could address the EC on the subject of ethics.
