I'll be even easier for you to spot on Veteran's Day and Memorial Day, punk.
Right, I'll be one of the millions of nice guys who care and work to make this a better country. I am not afraid of you and you have been reported for your abusive behavior.

You can sure dish it out, but you can't take it.
Rewind the tape and then decide for yourself who attacked who first.

I believe that is a misconception, the FAA can't accept nor will they accept anything, they are out of the loop since signing of the bill. Nothing need be presented to them
I don't think so. The FAA needs to know what operations are covered under the special rule. Don't forget, there is a criteria that specifies that model aviation operations near an airport must be coordinated with that airport. We will need FAA support to make that happen.

Act like a man..? You run to the moderator like a little girl and then tell me to act like a man...?
I don't often type "LOL", but I'll make a special exception here.
It's plain to see that you don't like the taste of your own medicine, Buddyboy.
Well, that's just too bad.
It's also pretty obvious that you have difficulty with reading and understanding the written word so some might give you a pass on that..but I'll still call you out for slapping the "AMA hater / US Gov hater" label on posters here.
The truth is that if we were standing face to face, you wouldn't be such a punk.

Considering his line about hating the government,
I doubt that guy understands just how many posters here (and the ama membership as well)
were at one time or another paid by the government to wear green* and bear arms

KE, so true...what is so stupid is how anyone could construe my sarcastic quip about making it easy on malconcontents to purchase high powered weaponry as hatred for Uncle Sam..?

Guys like him would have gotten along much better back in the old USSR.

Wow! You just don't get it. It's over, we won. All there is left is a little pro forma paperwork and we have complete control of model aviation. The FAA can go back to what t does best, manage and regulate real aviation and now regulate the use of drones in the public airspace. Meanwhile, model aviators can go back to having fun.

I don’t know why anyone would argue with you as you are obviously a great AMAer...we are lucky to have you and you should go far within the AMA...and of course you will be afforded some of the highest level of protection.

Yes, Finally we have complete control of model aviation... Now, the rest of you guys leave my man Mr. She alone...or you’ll have to reckon with me...and I know you don’t want any of that!

I wore Blue and I'm proud of it.

BTW: my remark about AMA and Government haters was not all inclusive. I was referring to only a few posters who were exceptionally obnoxious in their contempt and distrust of the AMA and our government..

That being said, I am absolutely certain that the FAA will accept, without question, whatever the AMApresents to them.

I believe that is a misconception, the FAA can't accept nor will they accept anything, they are out of the loop since signing of the bill. Nothing need be presented to them
I think what John said makes sense however I see noneed to argue over this stuff we will all know when the rules get posted and become law in about a year.
HoweverI think we will find that most of us were right about somethings and wrong about others.

Ira
we will all know when the rules get posted and become law in about a year.
The law that resolves all this is not FAA regs coming out in a year,
but the bill that was just signed into US Law.

There is no waiting, it just happened... the 'happening' is a part of history not in the future.

Right now, CBOs that meet CONGRESS' DEFINITION are under congress' protection from FAA.
Right now, Model Aircraft has been defined into US Law by congress.
now, not in the future

yes
the govenment can anything they like, if they have the votes in congress to do it.
They can go so far as to make beer unconstitutional,
and they can even change beer back into being legal again
... heck, they can even allow agents to 'touch your junk' in airports.

But, in regards to the legislature and toy airplanes-
It really says something that our amendment was put onto the bill by UNANIMOUS senate vote.
And that was BEFORE the AMA letter writing campaign started.
We actually hired a real lobbyist to do real lobbying and won the war with our opening salvo.

How many senators might ban toy airplanes in the near future,
if the vote was unanimous to protect them from government (FAA) intrusion?

Your remark about the AMA and government haters was nothing more than mental diarrhea.
Like I said earlier, guys with your mindset were the ones who did well back in the old USSR.

distrust of the AMA and our government
I am amazed that you equate not trusting some current administrator/legislator/judge in government,
with someone hating the USA.

You know who else didnt trust the government?
Consider WHY the founding fathers put all them checks and balances into the government they were making.
Even the guys that created our government knew enough not to blindly empower and trust the folks running it.

Maybe YOU want to consider Adams, Jefferson, and Hancock
to be US-Haters and Anti-America because they didnt trust the government,
but I (and MANY others) dont see tham that way

So remember,
the next time you accuse Adams, Jefferson, KidEpoxy, CP, or SilentAV of hating the USA (becasue they dont trust gov)
you better consider what you are making yourself look like with posts like that

To be clear, the rules that will be posted and take effect in about a year will be the non-CBO model aircraft operations that will be conducted under the FAA SFAR 107. Model aircraft, as defined in H.R. 658 are currently authorized to operate under a CBO operating guideline, and nothing about that will change when the FAA publishes their sUAS rules. So basically, once the FAA publishes their proposed rules we will know what the alternative to the Congressionally authorized CBO operation of models will be.
