the political nature of this forum has gotten out of hand and people who use the AMA as a defence in thees problems. with the AMA flying has never been as fun as it could be. please from now on have the field leased to you on a contract to make the field selection official to prevent further problems.

If anyone has seen property values and the demand for soybeans lately, and you are using farmland, then don't be surprised to get evicted. Our landowners son is doing that, he wants EVERY square foot of land so he can add more cattle and plant soybeans. However, we were informed in a logical manner. Just having the place posted does seem kinda illogical, but then again, maybe it was the land owners best way to get in contact with you. Maybe he got an offer and has sold the land? I've done that, had somebody drive into the yard and make and offer and the next day, closed the deal. Is anyone going to sit down and personally ask the land owner for a reason for the eviction? Right now, nobody knows why so how can we assume somebody in the club did something wrong, FH?

Easy..

If it was a simple economic decision... the farmer would have told the club rather than posting notices "without warning."

The sign posting points to a problem that was improperly handled. You get that landoner to post on here that there was no problem with a club member. (He won't because there most certainly had to be a problem.)

If he had just wanted to put the land back to ag use... he'd have notified the club... said he needed to farm it and that would have been the end of it. He wouldn't have needed to post it to say no flying.

It might just as well be that the landowner is an introvert and did not want to have to tell the club that something had come up, as scottrc suggests. There is nothing to lead anyone to believe anything can be deduced from the total lack of information on the subject. There are no evident facts as to why the club lost the field and anything, at this point, is rank speculation, and has been from the start. There is a name for people that draw conclusions before the facts are in which currently eludes me.

Another question, does the club have anything at the site like a frequency board, starter stands, and equipement? With just a gentleman's agreement, you might have lost anything you left on the premises.

P-51B,
I have to disagree with your initial clause because there is NO indication that FH launched any sort of crusade. (There is some question about ability).

On careful review of many forums, including this one, it is apparent that the only CRUSADES launched are from those with out the intestinal fortitude to sign their names to the flames and other fecal matter they throw around. It is never a crusade when it is MY ox being gored, only when it is YOURS. Can you explain that observation to me so it makes some sense?

I agree with the final clause of your remarks.

Actually, this particular CRUSADE has been carried on in several threads for a while now (thus a crusade) by several who seem to think that not using a legal given name on the forums indicates a lack of intestinal fortitude. While those individuals are entitled to their opinion, I am entitled to disagree.

As for explaining your own observation to you, I am not really sure what your saying...are saying I have launched some sort of crusade against YOU personally?

Just for the record, once again, I have no problem with Anonymous contributors. Actually, my only reason for making this post is to say that I am glad to see you post. I have missed your comments and was dismayed when you reduced yourself to being a popcorn vendor. Welcome back.

While people have the right to be anonymous I think you gain more respect by using your name. I don't respect people that don't have the balls to use their real name once in a while and I always wonder what they think they have to hide.

When said "anonymous" individual launches an aggressive and personal response to anything, I agree. That was and is my point. Name calling while hiding identity seems to be indicative of a very special level of integrity, in my opinion.

P-51B,
Yep, you are welcome to disagree and the above further describes the position that many who use identifiable names take. The entire exchange was NOT a personal remark, crusade, or anything else other than an attempt to cast some illumination on something you seem to have a problem with.

Let's look at it from a slightly different point of view. In general discussions there is a give and take, sometimes it gets heated but that is normal. I have noticed that many, if not most, of the anonymous folks share in that exchange, to the mutual benefit of all. However there does seem to be some special class of anonymous poster who resorts to name calling or other semi hidden personal attacks when their basic argument is seriously challenged by little things, like facts or better arguments.

Fair enough?

OBTW, as JR says "welcome back".

<troll hunt>
Now if YOU don't bring the subject up, I won't. {G}

I think you gain more respect by using your name..

So I guess you respect Huber more than P-51 then...man that is screwed up. I guess P-51 could have made up any old name or could give in and give his name, but his integrity is much greater than that. Personally I evaluate each post on its own merits and every response has the potential to be informative and enlightening no matter who the responder my be. I would welcome the chance to give kudos to even Goob but he is not interested.

BTW Bum if you really want to know who I am just ask JB and see if he will give you my name...we are on first name basis but please do not divulge to anyone else since that is my prerogative to remain anonymous...understand?

Hi troll

The only time I give your posts negative points is when you use that darn 500 pt type. Try size 2, it gets the point across just as well.

hmm. please?

BasinBum is actually a pretty good kid. He has his head on right, and helps others at the field. Actually a "stand up" modeler, IMHO.

You guys need to call a truce.

Edit: Kid is a relative term as it is used here.

Heck JR I can see he is standing up in that photo LOL. Seriously I just poke a little fun here and there at him...it is he that has the problem with me and my anonymity and of course I have to rub on it from time to time. Actually I owe a lot to the Bum...he has made me what I am today...he was one of the first if not the first to call me troll... heck at that time I really didn't even know that I was one or for that matter what one was.

I get no respect

Shoot if I could just whack ole Goob in the head with that club I am carrying all would be well. Ah just kidding for those challenged in the humor department. But I still believe he is short one apology.

Troll

No point in even bringing it up. Everyone has seen what he posted and made up their own mind. He has to live with that. Drop it.

With Fred's attitude, he probably needs to bring a gun to a club meeting.
