[Oh Red, Red, Red,

I sure hope that you can find time in your busy schedule to attend Top Gun with Tony and Dave. I'm really looking forward to finally getting to meet you face to face.

Your Pal Bill, AMA 4720
Sorry to disappoint you but I don't plan on being there. Top Gun is like Toledo, and Joe Nall - been there, done that a couple of times - that's enough. I would rather be flying that watch others doing it. Besides, SEFF is the weekend before and that has a lot more of the modeling that I enjoy participating in.

I understand perfectly well why he is done with MA. As he said, there is nothing he can learn from it and if given to school they would learn the wrong things. But if I had a free ticket to Top Gun I would give it to someone that possibly get something ou of it rather than throw it in the trash because I'm not interested in blowing some excellent flying weather and a couple of tanks of gas on it.

Red,

It's only 141 miles from Newberry (when did Newberry get a University? I thought all along that the University of Florida was in Gainesville, and The University of Florida is 12 miles and change from Newberry, so what else have you been devious or untruthful about?), and surely someone as astute as you would be driving something that you could go at least 300 miles on a tankful, so it wouldn't be such a financial burden as you think. Heck, just to get to meet you, I'd even buy you a tank of gas.

Yes, but if you had deep convictions that Stick's form of hobby was overly elaborate and depictive of everything you felt was adverse to your perception of the hobby you would no doubt, from all we have learned of you here, would not only throw away the ticket but you be here spreading all the crap you could against the event...I am certain of that.

Why you cannot allow other’s their views and why you continue to bully them for their views is incomprehensible to most of us. I certainly have no problems with Stick’s views…they are understandable and I am on record here as one that likes MA…go figure.

More than a couple. Last one was 2007 - Working the FMA booth and participating in the AMA Electronic Technology Committee meeting. Several times prior years with Cermark, RCModeler Magazine, and Davey Systems (kit manufacturer) and General Electric Battery Dept.

Wow! I'm impressed. Why not since 2007? Or was that the year that you were asked not to return?

You can call or email.

You can make this public but we would much rather have the magazines donated to schools, libraries, doctors office etc…

This is just one way for us to spread the news of this great hobby.

Thank you very much for your reply.

What would be the procedure to make this happen?

A phone call or an email?

Do I have your permission to make this public?

Thank you,

Robert Brinker

Mr. Brinker,

Yes we can remove members from our magazine mailing list. The removal of the magazine subscription does not have any effect on the price of membership.

If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me.

I was just pondering,
If AMA has had a policy that easily allows folks to not get MA delivered to them,
and that policy is right because it comes from Muncie where all policy cant be questioned,
wouldnt that make the folks here that questioned & opposed this policy for 12pages
AMA haters... for publicly opposing an AMA policy, or even suggesting that AMA Procedure was wrong to do?

kinda like the notorious Paintball thread
all the fine AMA members that were violently opposed to AMA policy

As a company, we are sending 'gift' packs to our solders....and I'm sending them a year or two of old MA mags....I'm sure some of those doing "our job" are modelers, or soon to be modelers

You should be astute enough to figure from my address, 12219 NW 9th Lane, Newberry, FL that I'm only about 3 miles from the Gainesville city line. The city of Newberry lies 8 miles to the west of me. The Post Office does funny thing with zip codes. Just 100 yards east of me are Gainesville zip codes. Since you are such a geography buff and concerned with devious and untruthful check and see how far Spring Branch Tx. is from San Antonio, where a prominent poster here lists as his "from"

Until you posted your address, I actually had not a clue as to where you lived, other than it is listed a Newberry. I'm not a geography buff, but took your information at face value. You still don't live in Gainesville, and Gainesville is where the U. of F. is located. Not 3 miles west of the city line or limit. Your point is????? The other posting member never said that he lived at the Alamo either. That is in San Antiono, and not in Spring Branch. Often people post the location of the nearest city that someone might have heard of. You and I both chose not to do so, but again, I don't claim to live at Disneyworld either, which would be on par with what you posted relative to the University of Florida.
