It's a way to separate yours from the rest. Dig the angry bird pilot.
Can't understand why GP picked such a boring scheme? I couldn't find a full scale version with that color scheme and that tail number. If I recall, I've seen a photo of the scheme with a different tail number...

Fly24-7: You won't find a full-size RV-4 or any other airplane with the registration number (N-number) included with this ARF. The number is totally bogus. Firstly, N-numbers NEVER include a dash between the "N" and the number, and secondly, the number NEVER begins with a zero. GP kinda screwed the pooch on that count, but at least they got the plane right.

No. A bit off-topic, but it's a Slipstream RV-8 ARF from Aztech Aeromodels. I posted the pics because of the "pilot". My GP RV-4 just has the GP 1/4-scale civilian pilot, so I decided to get "creative" with the RV-8. Here is the thread.www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10888426/anchors_10888426/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#10888426

I'm glad to see there's SOMEONE out there who's not afraid to put some serious power in this plane. All I did on mine was to put 1/2" triangle stock in all of the joints forward of the rear end of the tank. The Saito 180 is at least as much of a paint-shaker as the DLE30, which was why I added the triangle stock in the first place. Everything is still tight and where it belongs, so it must have worked. An 8-10 oz. tank is all you'll need with the DLE30. Very efficient for a 2-stroke.

OK. Here are some pics of it with the cowl. The installation itself is very straightforward. The standoffs supplied with the DLE30 were used as-is. Because I used the single-bolt prop adapter, the new cowl is mounted about 3/16" forward of where it was with the Saito 180. Without the prop adapter, it was virtually identical in length to the Saito installation.

Get it from ValleyView RC. Great service and they treat you right. All three of my DLE's are from them and there will be more in the future!

Use an 18-8 prop for the first 4 or 5 tanks then go to an APC 16-12 prop. If you start with the 16-12, you may not be able to get the idle low enough to land and still be reliable. 32:1 mix non-synthetic oil for the first 3-4 gallons, then you can go to synthetic 40:1 mix if you want. As long as you're not fouling plugs left and right, you can't have too much oil. Nothing leaner than 50:1 under any circumstances. You will really like the 30 after having used the 20 because the 30 is easier to tune and is not as sensitive to needle settings.
