Default Nitroplanes suprised me

Short story: I ordered a CMP PA-28 EP from Nitroplanes, and it arrived yesterday with a cracked canopy. I used their online chat customer service to report the problem, and they had me send a picture of the damage to them. Today, I get a shipping confirmation- they already shipped a new one. I didn't expect this given all the bad things I have heard about their customer service... maybe they are getting it together! You hear so much bad on the forums, I just wanted to share some good.

It really is a nice plane by the way...

I was treated fairly. I'd ordered a 69" Yak intending to use an on hand 20cc engine. They sent a 72" which was more suitable to a 30cc. They offered to take it back or discount to help defray the cost of obtaining an engine. I took the discount and acquired a suitable engine and it has turned into a favorite plane.

These are good reports. Hopefully we will get a lot more. As one put it there are way too many bad stories from these type of suppliers. I am certainly glad you go treated good! Maybe they will get service up to par.

Update: I received the replacement canopy... BROKEN! It was not packed well at all. So I contacted them again and told them the situation, and today I received an intact canopy WELL PACKED in bubblewrap. Hooray! Obviously they are trying... I will buy from them again. Maybe they are starting to realize they will profit more from keeping people happy in the long run.

I just went online with a rep to find out if they would have a cowl for my Mustang. They say they will have "special order" starting again at the end of the month. Maybe they are really starting to provide service.
