Default H9 AT-6 Texan Engine Mounting

Hey, I am struggling a bit with mounting a Saito .91 on my Hanger 9 AT-6 Texan. This is my first 4-stroke so I'm not sure. It is mounted at a 45 degree down inverted with the muffler down and back. Does this look right in the photos? It seems I will have to cut alot of cowl for the heads and muffler...Bill

If you turn your mount 90 degrees the muffler will exit out the bottom and not be as noticable. I installed a magnum .91 on a T-6 this way last year and it only needed a hole the size of the rocker cover on the lower right side of the plane and a little lager hole on the bottom.

That just doesn't look right,I would have mounted it at a 90 degree(sideways) or 180 degrees inverted.
I read about a guy that had a Saito that would not run inverted very well though, I run Magnum and OS 4 strokes inverted
and they run just fine.
Is that the way the engine mount was attached from the factory?

ChopperDude, I have mine the other way, leaning toward the left with the muffler pointing straight down. I'll look for some pics to post.

Here you go. Notice the muffler pointing almost straight down.
