I am glueing the wing together on my Avistar. When pressed together it leaves just a slight crack on the leading edge. Just enough that the tip of my fingernail can catch it. Is this normal or too much of a gap? After the epoxy finishes setting should a put some medium ca glue down the gap just to be safe?

Have you already glued it yet or is this just a trial fit? If not glued already, when you do the epoxy you put on the flat ends of the wing should fill out any SMALL gaps when the wing halves are pressed together. If its already glued.........did you use enuff epoxy?

When I glued it, it had enough epoxy to push out of the gaps, and I had to wipe it down. I made sure to put epoxy all over the spars that touch. I used some clear packing tape around the wing to give a perfectly smooth joint. You can just barely see a crack. I just need to make sure to lay off the throttle with my 46ax.
