Who all overpowers their plane? and which plane and engine
#28
Here are a couple of planes I have and have had. How many real planes fly at full throttle? I also fly between 4200 and 7200 feet. I wouldn't say that they were overpowered, except for the US40 with the 90.
Sig Wonder ---- OS 25 SF
Global Gas Stick 10 ----- TT 25 GP
Modeltech Me-109 ----- OS 40 FP
Ultra Sport 40 ---- MDS 58
Patriot ---- MDS 58
Ultra Sport 40 ---- Supertiger 90
Lanier Predator ----- Jett 50
Lanier Dominator ----- Piped Rossi 45
GP 40 Size Extra 300 ---- Saito 91
H9 Corsair ---- Saito 120
H9 Taylorcraft ---- Saito 180
WM .40 P-51 ---- Saito 91

I am running a Phenoix Models .40 size Sukhoi with MVVS .77 with mini-pipe and turnning a 14x6 . I love it!
I has tons of power and finally has the power to do what I like to do. That OS.46 did work but ran out of steam in vertical. For the CG I just moved the battery behind the servos and worked out perfect.

A SIG SU31 with a G62. No nasty habits and lands slow. Better be serious if you jam the left stick forward! [>:]

I took my old trainer, a Great Planes PT 40 and added two more 40's to the wings and I called it the PT 120, (3 X 40= 120).
It flew like a rocket ship, it was so nose heavy I had to bend the main gear so far forward it just drug the tail on the ground like a tail dragger, the nose wheel never even touched the ground.
It was truely a sight to behold and hear the three 40 two strokes screaming!!!

haha. I did that with a .20 size Sturdy Birdy a long time ago. You remember those planes. I put 2 .46's on each wing and left one in nose to keep it balanced. It did fly and took off very quick... I made one turn it then it spiraled into the GA clay.....haha.. but was fun to try out.

I have an OLD Pizzaz that has several years of hard flying on it. I need the 72 Saito for another project. So I am mounting a ST 90 I have laying around. I don't have it balanced yet. I think I can move the rudder servo and maybe the battery into the tail. Should be fun for verticle drag racing.
