Default Oops!!! What would you do?

K, I'm just about done my Seagull Extra, but, I put the fuel dot too far back and it hits the firewall. Now. I can leave it as is and the engine will fit through the hole it is supposed to, but I'm thinkin that if I just carve out a small bit of the firewall and maybe do a little reinforcing that I can move the cowl back as far as I would like and all should be good. What do ya think. Would cutting into the firewall (and doing some reinforcing) be a good idea or should I just do with what I have?

Just take some wood off the fire wall there is heaps there. If your going to reinforce it, it not realy going to hurt.

Well, I did that once as well. I would move the fueler forward on the cowl, cut apiece of ply or balsa and glue into first hole. A little filler and some paint will fix it up. A lot easier, IMHO. I have the same plane on order, can hardly wait.
