The Point Is not the shortcommings of the 25e Cub, but the posability of Horizon producing a 1/4 scale varient. That in my opinion would solve the shortage of Super Cub's currently. If you look the 25e Cub's L/G and struts are scaled down versions of there 1/4 J-3, which is the same as the D.P. Might do a 25e with a Saito 40 while I wait! Kind'a like a small fix for the problem.

need a arf, looking at the e-flite p-18 , my dp p-18 is going ok but the landing gear from the hh 1/4 cub dont fit the dp p-18, fuse is not as wide , may get out the hammer and start bending the gear and yes paint will flake off and IAM NOT GIVING UP , some day it will fly , even if glow fuel goes to 50 $ a gal, thanks frank

Frank bolt that gear on &figure out what needs done to make it work, you got something I've been drooling over for the past few years, don't let the L/G stop you from finishing it. The cross brace and outer sliding strut may need cut down a bit, don't bend things up!

They don't mention that their gear will fit the D. Patrick Cub.

By the looks of the pictures, Frank needs longer tubes than he has there. The fuselage is a bit wider than most. It might be a good idea to call Wm.C. Wallace to see if they can make new tubes for it.

Highly recommend the guys at http://cublandinggear.com , absolutely awsome gear. Mine was ordered "custom" and Tommy did an incredible job. Fits my 1/4 scale Balsa USA Supercub Bushplane and completes the look I was going for. Time to head to Valdez Alaska and show them how to really fly STOL.

Yes, that's right, not likely to reappear. That's too bad, the plane was the best ARF I have ever made, it was state of the art and still is better than many of the so called premium ARFs out today. I was lucky enough to get one of the originals back in 2004, and I used a OS 160 twin for power. (see some of my earlier posts on this thread for pics) Not only was the design and parts top notch, the instruction book was outstanding as well (and in real english). I am rebuilding mine after an unfortunate nose plant, and I will re-maiden in the next few weeks. I still have to make a new windshield, I am making a plaster mold from the old piece to try to vacuum form the replacement. After so many ARFs, I got to do some real old time balsa butchering to rebuild everything from the wing forward. The OS twin is a perfect match for that airplane, and the sound fits it to a tee. I don't go for the chain saw engine sound, even though glow is $12 more per gallon than gasoline.

Farmerric,
As far as the windshield for your DP Super Cub, give this company a try. He had some at one time, even though it is not listed on their website. The windshiled fit perfect as I have on on my DP Cub and I not long ago referred another DP Cub owner to Aerotech for a windshield as well.

I contacted Aerotech Models about the windshield. They have it and it is very expensive at $45. shipped. But then, it is the only place to get one unless you make your own.

Just completed repairs on a DP Pa 18.A club member had crashed it a few years ago an at that time it had only @ 5 fights on it.It now fly's as a L 21A.( the best of both worlds). As soon as I recieve flight photos I will post

The wings had very little damage, repaired tips. The nose was broken off, repaired replaced Cowl and windsheld. The damaged area was recovered with utra-coat. It is powered by a CRRC PRO 26R which turns a 18/6 prop.So for it has 7 flights on it since repairs. The best thing was that I got the airframe for only $200
