What do you think would work better when mounting a Saito 100 on this beefy bird? At 45 degrees, or completely inverted? I have the engine mounted at 45 degrees right now, but before I start cutting the cowl I am wondering if there might be a better way.

A Saito100? ... in this plane? It won't fly--- it will just rocket around. you could leave the wings off....
With the smaller wing- you better watch the landing speed. It sure won't float in.

I flew mine with a Saito 72 and it landed pretty easily. The 100 is only 3-4 oz heavier. I don't think it will be much of a problem. And I would leave it mounted at 45 degrees so the exhaust exits directly under the plane. Good luck!

By the way, I have parts for the Sukhoi available to anyone who needs them:
1. Wing - a little damage but not much. Nice aluminum control horns used also.
2. Landing gear - wheels and aluminum gear.
3. Wheel pants - cut out but never installed. I did spill a little CA on them, however.
4. Cowl - cut for Saito 72 at 45 degree mount.
If anyone needs some of this stuff let me know. You can have it...just pay for shipping. I can take pictures to show you guys also. See ya!
