The wires with the DP 40 I got were coated so I'm not concerned about them rubbing as I don't believe it is an issue on coated wire.

The crossing of the kevlar should not pose a problem
due to "rubbing". The area where the cables cross present
only minimal friction if any at all. It is reasonable to have concern
at friction points on any kind of cable due to the possibility of
failure. I have experienced such a failure and lost a DP(cermark)
Pitts S-2. The supplied SS cable failed on the elevator where
the cable threaded through a Dubro threaded coupler.

YSMan,

My bird took to the air on Saturday. Your modification suggestion for the elevator worked well! I am sure I will have less problem getting the final trim on the plane.

Thanks,

Jim
