Let us know how you come out with the Extra after you get it back together. I have been looking at these and am close to ordering one so was a little concerned seeing your post[:-].
Sounds like something was really out of square with that amount of required trim. The tip off seemed to be when you talked about the turns. Anyway curious about how the rebuild does.
By the way just up the road from you between Albany and Salem, fly at the Thundervolt RC field just behind the stink plant (Kraft papermill) on the west side of I-5. Anyway good luck.[8D]

I'll keep everyone informed. According to Vectorflight I should have a couple of more weeks wait for the fuselage
and new wings. I would suggest using a incidence meter in assembly. Foam wings, seems like a no brainer, but there is definitely a warp on the left wing.

p.s. If anyone is in the area. Please feel free to contact us. We are building a new airfield in N.W. Eugene and have a couple of great flying sites in Creswell and CottageGrove Oregon.

Here it is March 23rd. I thought I would just let everyone know. If you read my post of 1-27, Vetorflight promised to send a new replacement wing and fuse "in about a month". Two months later, I am still waiting. Their communication is very prompt but they are lacking in the performance catagory.

Like you said, they are very responsive to emails... Have you tried contacting them ?... I am sure they will bring you up to speed .. I imagine they really have a backlog of orders as successful as there planes are ... I would not concern myself with the ailerons... I have two of there planes and it is a non issue.. There is way more aileron authority then is needed... Just an uneducated guess here but I suspect the reason the aileron servo is at one end of the aileron instead of the center is because the wing is not thick enough further out to fit a standard servo in it... I also suspect that it is this wing design that makes these cut through the air like an arrow.. Straight and true... Adding carbon fiber to the ailerons IMHO is totally unnecessary and just adds another possibility for problems..
Did you check the aileron hinge lines on your wings ? If you did not get them straight (exp one end higher then the other) it will cause the readings you seem to be getting with your incidence meter… Using the ailerons for incidence readings is not very accurate at best… Out of all the airplanes they have sold, all the responses on here etc yours seem to be the only ones that have a warp problem… Some long odds there…
When you get one of these in the air you will see just what a great flying plane they are…

I contacted Vflight about a month ago. They said I would have the plane in about a week. In the mean time I am flying an Edge from Pacific Aeromodels (it took a week to arrive from the time I ordered it)- the best built ARF I have ever owned. Flys and lands like a dream.

Glad to here you got a great Plane to fly while you wait for your VF Parts. If your Pacific Edge has anywhere close to the quallity and the Great Price Tag of the VectorFlight Edge then I am sure it is a great Plane! I sure love my VF Edge, and appreciate all the great service that came with it before, during, and after the sell. Hopefully if your wing decides to warp in flight you get the same great treatment from Pacific Aeromodels as you got from VF! Glad to here you are out, and flying! I was worried that maybe your mishap with the Extra was keeping you home bound!
