I had a 5 cell 3000 mah battery located just in front of the wing tube to balance with the Moki. I'm sure you can balance it with two rudder servos.

Well, the Moki does OK but after I changed the Moki to a BME 50, there's really no comparrison. Patty flies pretty good with the Moki, and it will do most of the advanced pattern stuff, if you're willing to anticipate the lack of power.. You have to fly to the engine's ability and that can be done. But, if you have one with a Fuji (the weight of a Fugi is beyond belief) then you'll know what the Patty will do with a Moki. It'll probably just be a little easier to land...
thanks cap, im geting started on it this week, ill stay in tuch.. the patty with fuji50 smoke 2 6v 2700 batts 17lbs.

Default Fuji with smoke

I really don't like flying with smoke because it will either intensify the precision of your maneuver or it will really show your mistakes. I like judges to be able to see whether or not I'm adjusting my horizontal flight, not looking at a smoke trail to give me away.....

Default Chair...

If you have a bad back, then you need to sit in a chair when you fly. Don't try to be macho and stand there till it hurts. Get the chair out, get comfortable and fly without the pain.

Captain,
Chill out, I (and I assume the others) are just kidding. Your input is welcome and after a lot of posts you should know I am a ball buster.

I'm sure your a better pilot than me, I just have the experiances of about six other Patty owners at our field to draw on for info that I pass on here, and I've built a lot of planes, so I think I also hasve some valid opinions.

Loose your sense of humor again and I'll repost your academy awards speech from a few weeks ago.

Default GP 100" Extra

Sorta hate to bring this up, because this thread may go another 4300 replies, but has anyone seen or built the 100" Extra kit shown on the GP Website? Anything like the 1/4 scale?

I have built the 1/3 scale GP extra 330L. I have not finished it yet I lack covering installing hardware engine servos. It is pretty much completely different from the patty some things are close. I believe it is going to be a great flying plane. I hope to get the $$$ to finish it by this winter.

Andy, are you revamping your old Patty or just modifying your new one. I'd love to see pictures of your hatch. Are you there yet or do we still have to wait..?

I have made so many Engine Standoffs for the Patty, that now I want one.

I have a ZDZ 40 doing nothing and I'm not into 3d, what do you guys think?

Hi Cap.,

First, I am putting the new Patty together. The wings are attached and the reinforcements are complete along with the hatch. I'll take some pictures later tonight and post them.

After I finished with Patty 2, I'll put Patty 1 back together.

Andy
