Installed the serevo plate and was happily ready to bolt in the tail gear assembly last night. I installed the 2 bottom bolts and then found out that the 2 top blind nuts are not installed far apart to get the bolts in. Put the plane away to think things over. I was thinking of just leaving the gear attached with just the 2 bottom bolts. Now I think I will take the plastic piece out and just move the top 2 holes in the piece of plastic up about an 1/8" and then get the thing installed. Bit of a nuisance but its making things work thats part of the fun.

No worries. The same exact thing happy to me and my Model Tech P47 while setting up the tail gear assembly. Must have been a factory glitch or something. Just use two of the bolts, but add some loctite to them before inserting them. You'll be fine. Mine are still holding strong.

Nice flying plane. What's your setup going to be? I have a Magnum 120RFS spinning an APC 15x8 on mine and flies at 1/2 throttle. At full throttle it's very, very fast. Landing are nice and slow. Good luck.

Thankx cruz!!! I bought a Kange SK80 ringed 2 stroke engine for it. Haven't figured out which prop to go with it. I bought some Futaba BB servos which I will be installing tonight. May have the whole thing finished by the weekend.

Same thing with mine. I used a little CA on mine also.

thanks i uesd the mechanical retracts that came with the plane,i just added the robostruts ,and yes it is brass tubing for the guns i have to take some new pics of the plane,i painted the guns and i had a little accindent with the wing i was putting everything away and the wind picked up my wing and dropped it on top of my hanger9 p40 prop blade,it whent right thru the wing
just a nights worht of repair and back in bussiness

I just took the dremel tool to the t/w bracket and elongated the holes. My real problem was that the way the tiller arm was bent, it was binding the tail rotor servo. I bent it the other way and works fine.... could have used an r/c car brake setup as well, I suppose.

I got a replacment for the tail wheel assembly after the nylon piece shattered when the tail wheel got pushed a little too far. The second one broke when I had the control rod attached and I just pulled on the control rod at the seervo end when I went to straighten the tail wheel. It shattered into little pieces! Removed the mounting bolts and pulled the broken bits out and the control rod. I made a plywood mounting plate for a Sullivan tail wheel assembly and am going with that. No more fussing around and the Sullivan setup works everytime. I am going to talk to Global about the fragile landing gear and see if they will refund my money for the flimsy part!
