Here is link for Stans, They list one for the Skybolt, probably for kit version, maybe will have Arf version soon. Probably would sell good since so many problems with G.P. one. Larry

I think I also will check out Stans also, or If someone would sell me a cracked arf cowl I would just repair it and use it, most of the arf cowls from manufacture need reinforced, done that before. Larry
How do you normally re-inforce them?

Thanks.

I use lite weight cloth and resin or just epoxy, get the cloth from LHS or Tower.... I usually apply around any cutouts , mounting screw holes, or any damage, cut the cloth to fit and you can hold it in place with small amount of CA then brush 20 or 30 minute epoxy or resin over cloth and work it in good.... I use to do lot of glass work on Corvettes and semi truck hoods when I use to do body work, same principle.... Clean cowl with laquer thinner or alcohol before repair... If your doing repair to the outside painted areas you will have to sand through the paint and gel coat before glassing over the damaged area, glass and after it cures, sand it and feather it in with surrounding area, a little bondo works well also, prime and refinish..... You can do a search on RCU an find lots of tips on glassing and refinishing. Larrry

I agree. Unless you can go direct tank to carb and remove the line to fuel up, fuel dots and a third line are the way to go.

I agree. Just got mine together, added some epoxy to the firewall and gear plate. Beyond that, it comes out to 7 lbs 9 ozs. with a Saito 1.00 and CG is no problem. If you need to add any weight at all to the nose, just make it productive.

I used a GP fueler mounted to the cowl on the left side. I always use a "backing block" of 1/16" ply to mount the fuelers or behind any screw holes.
