Building the 81" Ceder Hobby Pheonix Twin
It is a personal thing to fly twins..Can you say twinsanity.
RCU..wisely does not allow double posting, so I am doing the build up down is the twins forum and hope might be of interest to you guys. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4602058/tm.htm
It flew today, but that will be another post and the below discussion on a "Small Modification" is also discussed. No, it was built as a twin and no, not four engines..yet!!!
If there are questions, I will be glad to answer here or down in the twins forum. Multi-engines are FINALLY getting ARF's that you guys have enjoyed for some time.
Have a good one.

Well the build story is over..the proof is in the pudding.

The rest of the story on this thing is still down in the twins forum. I do not double post, so the main story is down there. The hands are still shaking, but getting much better.
At the risk of getting on my soapbox,, do not fly twins unless you always fly with the rudder. You cannot learn in an emergency and yes, one engine failed during the test flight on an unfamiliar plane. Use a helper with mulit's for safety..YOURS!
Always do the vertical test for engine stability, but it is not a guarantee of flawless engine reliability.
I did not build this with a fire breathing set of engines. For an experiment, I built it with two TIRED ST 45's, to see if more people could afford to do this.
Have fun. We need more people in the mulit's flying, so if you are tired of "Only one engine" and your heart is strong and blood pressure low..come on over..Multi's can fix all that..Ha Ha.
