teamhighrpm: your skylane looks pretty good
Congrats for flying this beauty! I have the feeling that mine will be overpowered with a Saito 150, too. But I just tried to follow the recommendations of the manual [
] Should have chosen a smaller engine... But sh... happens...
By the way: Did you do some changes to the rudder & elevator hinges / servo connection or did you use the original hardware of the kit???
I´m really interested to hear your opinion

all servos except throttle are ts-70mg super torque servos ( flapsx2, aileronsx2, elevator. rudder). , throttle is standard futaba servo. i can do fig-8's & snaps thats about it. Its about as scale as you can get for the price

teamhighrpm: thanks! The rudder control is what me scared! Therefore I changed it into a pull to pull linkage. It`s o.k. now. I`m still wonderring whether I should also change the elevator control. But I don`t want to do so much work.[:'(] But better than crashing the plane... But you are happy with the original elevator linkage – right!?
citation560v: sorry I diddn`t see that you were referring to my claims above but you got the problem(s) of rudder & elevator right! The push rods in the fuse can flex easily (both rudder and elevator) and the metal wire that should be glued in the rudder has no support in the aircrafts tail. I tried to glue in two wooden stabilizers: one for the carbon push rod and one for the metal wire in the tail. But the result was not satisfying me at all. I´ve heard about an update version of the kit. Do the changes refer to the rudder control only or also to the elevator? What about your experiences?
I`ve written some information about that in tmw09`s building thread.

teamhighrpm: it`s again me...
I decided to rely on your informataion about the elevators and go on with the original elevator control!
Now I´m HORNY to do the maiden
But what about the c.g. and rudder settings in the manual? I`ve read that teyh are not very reliable... Are you happy with the infos? c.g. is about 85 - 100 mm from the wing nose! Can I trust in this information?
Rudder settings:
Ailerons seem to be too much with 30 mm,
rudder should be o.k. with 30 - 35 mm,
elevator: seems to be toooo much, this is not an acrobatic... I think 20 -25 mm will go well
flaps: range of 15 - 50 mm
What experience did you made?
Hopefully you can post the answers until next weekend

i followed the book to the exact measurements for all control throws. as far as the cg i have mine at 89mm.. a lil nose heavy but stability is great at this setting. i have a lot of throw to do figure 8's & snap rolls. i have high & low rates dialed in with flap programed mix too. when i used flaps the plane balloned way up and the nose and the plane went verticle. i used a mix to use down elevator to compensate. I have only used the mix at a safe altitude I still dont feel comfortorable about landing with flaps. the plane can really flare well b4 you touch down very realistic and slow. the flaps are up to you i dont use them that often. mainly use them after i landed juut to look cool while taxi. let me know if this info helps

Mine arrived. Not as big as I'd imagined though. That'll change when it's rigged in the workshop though I bet!
Starting soon. Some other minor maintainence to the fleet to finish first......

Just started mine also. What is the standard way to sync two servos for flaps. I am using hitec and checked the website. They have you swap some wires at the motor and pot and run with a y-cord. Any other tips out there. My concern is with the newer servos the motor is soldered directly to the pc boards and no mention is made of the ground washer. also can a pot be re-keyed to the drive gear 180 out.
Thanks Dave

That mod is not really possible on newer servos. If your radio can't mix it you can buy in-line servo reversers that fit between servo and receiver that will do the job nicely. Don't know where you'd buy one in the states though.

There is a Cessna 182 63" and a CMP Cessna Skylane 83". I knew many of you ordered the 83" Cessna. Can someone give me a direct link to order the 83" Cessna? Pretty Please! I would LOVE to have one, but I couldn't find it at any of these sites, AK-Model, Nitroplanes, and RaidenTech (sold out)
Please help!

Here is my .50 CMP Cessna Re-painted and added some mods Like fowler flaps, cowl flaps, landing and nav lights and replace the stock wheel pants for the Great Planes Cessna ones. They look more scale to me. Here is link to my video.
