Default problem with Mini UltraStick ARF

I just bought the Mini UltraStick ARF. It came with the motor, servos, and Speed controler. I bought the JR Sport negative shift receiver (RS6UL) and Parkzone's high performance Li-Po battery and charger combo (http://www.parkzone.com/Products/Def...ProdID=PKZ1050).

I installed everything, but I am struggling with a problem. When I plug the battery in all of the servos twitch and I can't control them at all. The throttle doesn't go at all. My LHS said I could bring it back for him to take a look at, but I thought I would run it past here first and see if I can't fix it before then.

Any and all advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

David

What kind of transmitter? JRs are normally positive shift. Are you using Futaba or Hitech?

If your transmitter is one that will do both PPM & PCM, does it default to PCM? The JRs come set for PCM and you have to set the modulation to PPM.

This is the transmitter I have (http://www.*********.org/jr-6102.htm).

Thank you for the reply. Does that help?

That appears to be a positive shift transmitter?

The RS6UL receiver comes either negative or positive. Take it back and get a positive shift one

Thanks for the posts I'll take it back to him tomorrow and try a positive shift receiver... thank you both for the helpful replies.
