Well it seems the Moderator has found this thread. After quite some time of never having any trouble with them. This WAS the one place we were able to come & visit about any plane & get a answer with NO ARGUMENTS breaking out that were serious (they were in fun). There has never been anyone come here and ask a question that didn’t get multiple answers from several TWISTaholics. I have enjoyed my time with all the TWISTaholics but it seems is has came to a end .Well I think I will close my membership also, The only reason I was still a member is because of this thread and the people in it. I would really like to know if there were REALLY any complaints about this thread or as I stated earlier if daaa Rock got his feelings hurt & just wants to flex his muscles. I’m sure this will be deleted before you read it but if not ( KEEP THE CANOPY UP & THE WHEELS DOWN ) unless your doing some cool trick. TWIST ON.
daaa Rock: You need to moderate many of those in your CLICK that are always getting way out of hand, But you never do, DO YOU. NO APOLOGY GIVEN..

jdkxtreme, there have been several Twist fliers use Saito .72's with good results. A 70 is about the right size four stroke it would seem.

My T___t must be a senior. Its yellowing and has wrinkles.

I never realized this was a dry forum. Are we seriously being edited because of the mention of an adult beverage??? Give me a break!!! The first thread I went to tonite after work, and not this thread, made mention of alcohol. I dont see a bunch of edited posts there.

The T_ _ _ T hanger has been found. I'm using the 14x4 on my OS 70 but I do believe the 13x4 3D's a little better.

[&o]Well I guess its time to say goodbye my friends, I have received quite a few posts (E-mails) from our friends here saying what they posted and it looks like they have been deleted from our thread, as this one will too most likely.
rules or no rules this was a very friendly place to come and get any information needed about this bird, so enjoy the T_ _ _ T all who stick around but it appears the place I have called home for the last 3 years is now moving me on, they have taken the fun and inspiration right out of the best thread on the site.

How un American can you get?? so much for the freedom of speech, good God.

Happy T_ _ _ Ting and hopefully we'll find you all somewhere else one day.

Let me remind everyone of a couple of points.

Opinions of others really has nothing to do with RC models. And this thread is being paid close attention, so really isn't the best place to test the rules or the moderators.

The moderators are asked to enforce the rules. They can either edit out or delete.

If your post is either edited or deleted, please re-read the rules and you will probably understand why. If you do not understand, please look for a pm from the moderator for an explanation. Give him some time for that pm, as he might be busy. Editing often takes time and mods have more than one forum to work. In any case, feel free to pm the mod for a discussion of your post. The membership will benefit from your discussion of the RC topic AND benefits again when you take your discussion of the rules and personal opinions of others elsewhere.

Opinions of anyone else are not on topic. And discussion of the rules are not on topic.

All that said, any further posts should be about the Twist. About the Twist. About the Twist. Please.

Well Boys ........sounds like you'se having a little problem in your topics.... and sounds like some of you enjoy chating with your buddies... hope so that what these "chat lines" are made for.... let the vendors give you the canned soup!!! Its your buddies opinions that give you the real deal.... and if you haven't met your chat buddies in person, it's the chat that lets you know who and what they are........

I personally frequent the Badius III thread which is a "no topic" thread and we talk about anything having to do with RC, or life.... others opinions do matter!!!!!!!!......... a great deal........ I came to RCU looking for info and knowledge on a cheap foamy electric called the Accipiter Badius.

I by chance found the thread in a Google Search, after I had bought an AB off the internet.... after 20 years outta the hobby, lots had changed....
From chatting with the guys on that thread I have learned a whole range of info on electrics and airplanes, way beyond the AB.... and no doubt,..... I have come to know and value the opinions!!!!......... of many of the fellows posting on that thread..... there is a lot of superfluous info on other models and gear that have little bearing on mine, but its provides a breadth of knowledge that would be impossible to get any other way....
and that allows me to think "outside the box".......... which has its advantages when you are looking for something better ....

We got guys regularly talking about everything from gas to electric, from minis to large scale, foamies to balsas, helis to jets..... you have to sort out what you don't need but that's OK.... that's what your brain is for........ I can't keep up with it all, few can, but you can just hop in whenever you feel like it, read a bit, target some questions to whoever you like, and if need be have them PM you details, ...........or just BS about whatever you feel like with your buddies, that live too far away to hang out with in person..... that's life in this day and age, sometimes you get on the phone, sometimes guys post videos, if your lucky you get to visit in person, meanwhile the chat fills in the gap......

I learned enough just off that thread, I can go out and read the vendors spiel, and pretty well figure what their selling, .....and if I'm still unclear there is enough combined knowledge and experience there to likely find some answers..... or if I'm trying to figure how to fix something...... again I can usually find an answer there, but I also have come to know, who knows what, and who likely to ask....just like in the real world.... it's life boys, hope it isn't too cut and dried, be pretty boring if it is........ have fun that's what this is all about, I hope....... later

The Twist 150 is still on sale $149.00 can't be beat. It would be interesting to know if Horizon is selling more 40s, 60s or 150s right now.

Well boys about all that left to say is ........... moderation in all things....... and sadly it seems some feel the rules are more important here than the people that contribute to this thread........ to the extreme........

with luck and determination this Twist of a thread may survive....... but with the over controlling inputs its definitely headed for a crash...........
............ its sad when people take their job and authority too serious, the end result is often dismal.......

Its still my opinion you people are the hobby, and your individual qualities, experiences and opinions are of foremost concern.... without you none of this means squat........

This thread may be left to Twist in the wind...... if so, at least hope the administrators learn from it....
....................................... that you guys aren't just machines making these toys fly............ life is not that simple,

...........have fun,.......... that's what counts in my opinion.....

Well one last post, as I now see these guys have moved to new digs, in a less oppressive environment....... don't forget to turn out the lites

Not really Tim.... quite the opposite

It sounds to me like it has been locked down already........ to the point many of it contributors can no longer relax and enjoy themselves and have thus left for more relaxed surrounds...

If you guys can't relax and chat freely about your thoughts and experiences, and express your opinions....... it pretty well takes the fun and familiarity out of the group......... this is not a job, you are not being paid to contribute..... it is free for you to use....... but without the content you guys offer it doesn't exist........ if you don't want to have fun and share your toys with others, thats your choice...... maybe gonna get boring though.....

Your choice....... hope your having fun, .....isn't that what this hobby is all about........

Jim, your only two posts in this thread were off topic after a warning to keep all posts about the Twist.

People, the topic of this thread really doesn't deserve to be locked down. But in the past, it has gone so far off target that it's got posts boasting about chugging Old Grand Dad in the morning for fun. And posts that are picture albums about Soap Box Derby tracks. That needs to stop. And to stop it, you were asked to stick to the subject. Since the rules have been so abused and the abusers have been so combative, of course it's been very closely monitored.

It should be clear to everyone that this thread was under close scrutiny. Yet, we've still been getting rambling dissertations that had nothing to do with the subject. After stating clearly that posts in this thread were being watched for off topic content, there continue to be posts that flaunt the request to stay on topic. Of course they have been deleted. When some posters force strict enforcement of the rules, even the posts that are well meaning wind up being subject to deletion.

If you're serious about talking about the Twist, it will show in your posts.

This topic (Part I and Part II) have great information so this topic and thread will remain active and available to all. Recently, several random discussions inside this thread got too far off course and had to be removed. Some of which were not appropriate for a family related hobby site. If there are questions regarding this thread or any editing that took place, please contact me via PM and I will be happy to discuss it with you.

If you would like to continue the conversation about the Twist 3D, enjoy this thread. However, please talk with me via PM about the other stuff if you feel the need to speak up. Thank you.
