man that 55ax is a sweet engine though. i cant wait to fly it again.
how much expo are you guys running?
any on got a dx7 and want to post there programming fot the tango?

I am running my expo 50% on low 60% on high. THis plane is everything from mild to wild. Loops less then ten feet in size. It is a blast to fly even though im a new pilot its making me look better then i am . I cant get enough of it. Put the hangar 9 mustang trainer away to go wild with this thing . Floats in for landings . Today the winds were 23 KMS an hour and did not bother it a bit.

Everyone at the club is crazy about this plane and are lining up to get one for the winter. We think this plane will be great with skis on it. I let a few try it out and we all agree its mild to wild . Hangar 9 really did it with this one and easy as pie to put together in a couple of hours.

Update: It's been a few months since the last car repair, and it seems to be holding up OK. I happened by one of the local hobby shops, looking for a set of skis for my Slow Poke 10. And there it was, and this one I didn't have to back order. Now, this hobby shop is among the best I've seen for their customer service. Not only did I get my Tango, but I got the skis along with it, free of charge. What a deal! Needless to say, they earned themselves a permanent customer, even though I have to drive a few more miles to get there.
I plan to install my OS 55 AX, and use the JR SX-600 radio with ST47 servos for the ailerons, rudder, and elevator. I have an extra 527 given to me, and that will go for the throttle. If anybody knows how this will work, feel free to chime in. Also, how's the winter flying? I got a few good ones in with the Slow Poke last weekend.

Great to run aerobatics and 3 D
Can just waffle around the sky or blast around like a rocket.
So Happy with the Tango[8D]

I flew my on Saturday with a Saito .72 on the front. Im still breaking the engine in, and am swinging a 13x7 prop, which is way too much prop. I was having the same problem someone else was, as mine was wanting to torque roll on takeoff at about 3/4 throttle. Im flying right now with about 50% expo, and I'll probably back that down to 35% or so. Mine will speed up or slow down as fast or as slow as I want.

what size prop are you using on your 52 evo? i'm running a 12.25x3.75 on my twist with an evo 45 spinnin it and it hangs around a half when tuned at peakpower.

That's funny [sm=lol.gif] That's exactly what I thought when I saw one for the first time. I should have one of these, not sure why but I'm after I buy one I'll figure it out later.

I went ahead and maidened mine earlier today. This thing is real squirelly at takeoff, so be sure to have both thumbs ready! Anyway, it windmilled in the cross wind and dropped a wing just about before it was ready to fly. I applied opposite aileron and gunned the throttle of my 55 AX with the APC (the ugliest prop ever invented) 12 x 4 and pointed it strait up. Otherwise, I would have had a "nose in the dirt" episode like I did the night before. IT went vertical, thank the Good Lord for a good engine! Ease the throttle and some down elevator, and we're level. It rolls on the center axis. It can roll with just rudder alone, in fact. It probably flys better inverted than it does right side up. It'll slow down almost like a Slow Poke, and just about hover in a head wind, but then you can speed up and cut right through it with no problem, and accelleration is quick. This is a touchy little critter, and 10' loops (both inside and outside) are second nature. Landing is what the plane seems to do best, just keep the wings level and steer with the rudder. Flair with some up elevator and it'll settle in for a 3-point. This thing takes some getting used to. It's definitely not a beginner's plane and it will bite if you're not ready, but that's just the beauty of it. I don't think I'll get bored with the Tango any time soon!

I told ya that plane is spooky........LOL But I luv it just for that reason.
On takeoff I get it headed straight down the runway then nail the throttle an yank it straight up in the sky. Works great everytime.... Now you see what I meant by saying it flys upside down as good or better than right side up.
Your right, we won't get bored with this little critter anytime soon

Oh, by the way, I took the 65 la off of mine an stuck a new TT.46 pro on it I had laying around an it is MORE than enough engine for this plane. I'm using a 11x5 mas prop also. Excellent pullout power from this prop IMHO.

Sure figured there would be more interest in this plane than 3 pages or so..... I guess some are afraid to try it out I suppose, because of it's radical behavior in the air........
