I bought a bunch of really cheap micro servos from them, just to see how they were. I think I got 6 servos for about $25 including shipping. They took about a month to get to me, but I wasn't in a hurry. I have been using them as throttle servos on my SPADs and they have been great.

Sorry, but I can't speak for their LiPo's. Hopefully someone else can help you.

Good luck

I've bought lipos from them and have had good luck. I did have after a year my two 1000 mah lipos puff but that may have been that i stored them in my garage over the 100 degree summer. i bought two more to replace them. key thing is to buy them only when in stock because they have trouble sometimes with getting new stock in when it goes out and the backorder system isn't great. They have a US number you can call if they puff prematurely and you can get full replacement. Just be patient with them it seems like some people get too irate to quickly if they have problems.

I hear guys buying their SV gas engines and seem to love them. Especially since they are half the cost of other engines in thier class.

Hobby City is opening a distribution center in the US so we can have local shipping rates and hopefully, quicker service. It will also be the warranty return place for the US. Hopefully, their prices will remain low.

I bought thousands of dollars of servos, brushless motors, ESC's, RTF planes, radio, receivers, Lipo batteries, air retracts, props, miscellaneous parts, in order after order after order over a span of more than a year and I have been satisfied with the quick shipping, double box protective packaging of the RTF planes, low prices and quality of the Lipos, receivers, RTF planes, air retracts, props, etc. etc. BUT...........some backordered items can take months if not a year to be refilled by the Chinese manufacturers/suppliers of Hobby City. BUT........after the backorder lasts about a month, the Hobby City webpage will automatically pop a "modify" button on the backordered item to allow you to cancel and get a credit to order a substitute item with the click of a mouse. Works great for me as I find the low prices REALLY LOW. Customer service during Hongkong time business hours is OK with their "live" online instant messaging. I have never had a shipment with missing items in the package. Other retailers both in Hongkong, China mainland and here in the USA have shipped me packages with items missing from the order/package.

Hobby City is great stuff, cheap and reliable but then we do also need to support the LHS, if not they will have to shut down.

Support local I agree but when you can get servo's and lead s and prop's for less than half price it makes the hobby affordable. I have purchased many $$$$$$ from HC and love there gear!!!!!!!!!! I live in Aussie land can order Sunday night have by Wed morning note only if in stock and chose the dearer freight. Read the reveiws before you buy and if not sure try one of there products before ording multiple. Don't know about their batt have not used them. You can have them alert you by email when stocks arrive, just make sure you do not place a order with a out of stock item because I have had them the hold the order waiting for the back ordered item. .....................cheers

I hear good things from them but also hear you get "close to what you order " for example in the e-forums guys are always saying "I ordered this brand but received this one instead " then others reply "oh that is ok , its really the same motor"
so I dont know that you get exactly what you order or if you get what they have in stock that is like what you order .
If your looking for an exact brand or the one pitured in an ad , I just dont know if that is what you get .

Thus far what is pictured has always been what I have received.

I've ordered a slew of battery packs as well, that have always met or exceeded the specification.

Strangly I discovered HC because of an e-bay advertizement/auction they put up.

I purchased a couple of batteries from them via the auction. The batteries were very cheap ( much cheaper than their web site! ), but they were garbage. I suspect that they were selling off the sub-par packs on E-bay...

So, good luck on thei direct web site purchase, poor luck via E-bay.
