I am going to convert my LT-40 to a taildragger. My question is - will I still balance it at the same point on the wing or will the balance point change? If it changes where will it balance point be?

You balance it at the same point for flying.
You'll find that the proper location for the main gear falls right under the radio compartment forward bulkhead, great structurally, but a PITA to put in. On mine I put it right behind the bulkhead and lived with needing to give up elevator during taxing , some put in in front of the bulkhead which for landing isn't quite as good technically, but works out well in practice.

I recently converted my Lt-40 to tail-dragger, man what a diffence, installed a seperate servo for
steering tail wheel and ran small Sullivan cables to a springing tail wheel assembly. I would advise
that you align the center of the axle of the main gear with the leading edge of the wing, as I fly
from a grass strip and didn't want to nose over. If you do install the pull-pull cables as I did you will
have to cut a section out of the bottom of the fuselage balsa and re-glue it and re-cover it when done.
Will post pics of my conversion later today.
Balance point is same as tri-gear set up.
