RE: New KMP PC-21
I had watched a video(I think it was on RCU) of a TF giant p-51 mustang with a
Turbo prop in it.....
MY point is , If you can place one in that, once would think it would work in this one.....
I like turbines, I just think that I would like to pick up a moke/RCS radial gas engine and run that (Obviously not in this plane)
,,,, Being that they are about the same cost....

what engines you guys using?
how would an evolutiuon 26GT2 perform in this plane?

I have the same question but no answer from Kondor yet. The website shows its available now but I will be waiting until the winter so I can make a project out of it. The biggest hurdle is obviously power plant choice, I dont want to butcher the cowl too much if possible. The Evo26 would be a great choice but it might be under powered? Flying weight on the website states 15lbs

the saito 180fs is what they'r recomending at 7000' +,so sould be plenty. with all thats going into this aircraft:
8-9 servos - retracts, air tank - ext. thinking the only detail would be keeping her nice and light, I may consider a very light
throttle servo to begin with, and update to carbon fiber wing tubes & prop if she dos'nt already have. a light wieght li.po
reciever battery and regulator . anyone have other ideas on how to keep a 15lb aircraft very light i'd love to here[8D]

RE: New KMP PC-21
Wasn't there a review last month in either "Fly RC" or "MAN"? There were a lot of pics there.
Whoever did it, Jim Onorato (sp?), I think, liked it just fine. I on KMP's website and the instruction manual has actual photos of the actual airplane that's being built!
It does make up into a really nice looking aircraft.

RE: New KMP PC-21
hav'nt installed engine yet. Winter i tend to move slowly. most servos, reciever and batteries are installed, taking time to work on bling: fabricating realistic
cock-pits: votage indicator mounted in the insterments, H.U.Ds, control sticks, throttle, foot wells with rudder peddles, fiber optics/strobe lights on the wings and fuze.front landing gear hatch doors next witch did'nt come w/ the modle - an inverted pitts muffler may deposite exhaust gasses directly in the fuze ( would be bad) after looking at everything aviable (considering the narrow cowl and what looks to be a VERY fast
airframe) best three choises for power #1: against my own personal feelings [X(]for electric[:'(] - a Hacker A60L -18L / 148kv/ 8000mAh 10 cell system with
seperate reciever pack battery may be the way to go [ for 18bls# the pc21 is 15.2+lbs#/ no cowl butchering/no mess/no stalling ] will easily turn a 3 blade 18x10 or bigger. From what iv seen they make excelent motors. #2 Evo's 40cc gasser, all the power you need [some cowl cutting] but probly worth it. #3. [Economy set up] the Saito 180, only have to cut for the muffler and there may be room for a carbon fiber tuned pipe through the fuze (unconfirmed) [8D]
Of course you could consider a 2str. MOKI 2.10 nitro guzzler 40oz./4.95hp massive overkill but hey..........

This is the coolest, neatest model I have seen in a long time, and I am an old guy. Please post any and all info and experience. Even though I have to fly on grass I've go to start saving for one of these..................WC

''some problems'' , hehehe, I only see one problem. What happened with front gear. It seems as it was not lock in open position.
