Default Engine settings HELP!

Hi all
Now its time for engine break in of my new asp 91 2 stroke.
I have no idea of needle settings. What is a good needle valve setting for the first startup?

Hello Murdoc. first off you will need to read the instructions on how to break in the engine. It will run you right through the steps of what to do. After that you will have to adjust your high end according to the temperature and humidity. Also after your engine is broken in. One thing to remember with a new engine. Make sure you see smoke. Keep that engine running rich. Also a great tool to use is a tachometer.

I will do
Only problem is that the instructions are on chinese[8D]
I usually buy 4 stroke engines, so I kind of sorta really dont know where to start:P
2,5 turn out is a good staring point on a 40 size, but on a 91 I dont know

2 1/2 turns should be fine on the high speed needle. Leave the low speed needle where it is unless the engine won't start without priming, and won't stay running below half throttle after priming. In that case richen the low speed needle half a turn and try again.

Actually, the Chinese use the same numbers we do, so a careful examination of the diagrams and the numbers that go with them should let you figure out what they are calling for.

Id leve the low speed where it is and just adjust the high speed according to what the engine wants. The low speed should be set at the factory. Once you have broken in the engine, you should open the throttle to full power and then adjust the needle untill you get max rpm from your engine then turn it 1/4 a turn rich.

I have had no problems at all using this method
