I had one of the experts fly it for the first time a couple of weeks ago. He got it up but was hard to handle.Got it landed and adjusted the throws. He took off again and it left the ground and hooked to the left real bad into the ground as soon as it took off.
I took it out yesterday and it hooked to the left again but recovered and got it up high. It was a wild ride.Didn't really know what it wanted to do but finally got it under control and trimmed where it would fly.Did pretty good after that.I'm just scared of it now.
The motor doesn't appear to have any thrust at all.Zero, straight ahead. I havent' really noticed if the firewall has any rite thrust to it.It's just that the motor goes straight forward.
This hooking to the left sounds like it needs some thrust in it but was wondering if all the Aresti's have thrust or not. I have some pattern planes and all are straight ahead,so was just wondering.
Thanx Walt

Yep, sounds like mine. For example, if I am say taking off, engine under load, the plane pulls to the left. If it is just cruzing along, no problem, so i am going to add some more right thrust to mine. I had read somewhere that it needed about 2 degrees of right thrust. Currently I think mine is somewhere close to that, but I still need more. Yours sounds like it is in the same boat. Good luck.

The firewall in the Aresti is SUPPOSED to have built-in right thrust. Mine is very noticeable - at least 2 degrees. If your firewall is 90deg from the centerline, it's defective OR they changed the design.
Have you checked your wing incidence? Could your wing be warped? Mine is as gentle as a kitten - even at slow speed.
