Hello All,
I am new to the flying fun, and have bought myself an Arising Star ARF plane. I installed the engine when I try to rotate the prop to prime the engine, pressure builds up and fuel flies out of the carbuerator. Then the prop tightens up and doesnt move. If i try to force it it strips the washer.
What am I doing wrong? The spinner wont move?
HELP, HELP

Have you removed the glow plug? Does it turn over with the glow plug removed?
Engine size? 2-stroke or 4-stroke?
A little more detail might be helpful.
Willing to help,
Steve

You realy need to go to a club and get some first hand help and tips.
Tighten the prop, open to full throttle, and put a finger on the exhaust, and turn the prop a few times. It should prime. Turn the needle all the way in, and 1 1/2 to 1/14 out again. move the trhottle to idle position, put the golw bat on the glpw plug, and crank the engine. should start now.

The engine is a .50 and its a two stage. I thought I was supposed to keep the glow plug on it to start it.
I dont see how I can start the engine if the prop doesnt move. I literally have to apply a lot of force to get it to move at all.
When I put the glow plug on it and then the starter, it just spins and burns rubber on the spinner and the prop doesnt move at all.

My guess is that you have the engine hydro-locked, cylinder full of fuel and you cant compress the liquid.
Try taking the glow plug out and turning over the engine. You will not be trying to start it , you will just be checking if something other than hydro-lock (flooding) is causing the problem.
