Default ruined pack

After charging a 9.6 volt aa transmitter pack
I removed it from the charger with the charge plug attached
the plugs made contact, the battery heated up
and burned the wires. Too hot to hold. what`s the chance
this pack is not ruined ?

Default RE: ruined pack

I would probably be reluctant to use it again. You could cycle it a few times to find out if the pack is still performing at capacity though.

Default RE: ruined pack

Replace the burned wiring and then cycle the pack three times checking the capacity each time, use a lsow charge for this process.

I had a simalar experience with a 2500Ma Ni-MH pack, that had a wiring short in the radio, got so hot I couldn't hold the pack, but after testing the pack is OK.
