3700mAh LiPo dead?
G'day
I dragged out my electric glider today to fly it. It has not been flown since about March. The battery has been topped up a few times over the months
The battery is a 3700mAh 3 cell LiPo. I have only ever charged it with a small balancing charger.
Today I tried to fly the plane but the battery was behaving as if it were nearly flat but when I tried to charge it, the charger (Swallow) said it was over voltage and the balance charger said it was fully charged.
Ideas?
I suspect I need a new battery. Sad, because it has had very little use over the last 18 months or so.

My guess is a bad connection or resistance.
Voltage high when charge and voltage low when discharge is characteristic of very high resistance in the system somewhere.

How did you store the lipo when not in use? Lipos should be stored at storage voltage (3.85 v per cell) and kept in a cool dry place. Storing a fully charged lipo or a discharged one will definitely cause it to have an early death.
