How close is towercotes cub yellow to ultracote cub yellow.? Tower has towercote on special for 8.99 a roll and i would to patch up a plane of mine.... i dont mind spending on ultracote, but if i can save a few dollars, why not

Here's the deal, Cub Yellow is Cub yellow, there shouldn't be any difference. Here's the problem, color can differ from batch to batch a bit even when it's the same manufacture and even more from different manufactures. I haven't had much problems using different brands of covering with the Cub yellow. I have had a mountain of problems trying to match Cub yellow paint!! You would think it too would be all the same but I have gotten it that ranged from Bright orange to bright yellow. The paint is the crap shoot.

I can assure you it's different....

It's not terribly off, but it is far enough off in shade to really annoy you over time.
