Default Spektrum DX7 Programming Question

I recently purchased a used DX7 to use for bind-n-fly indoor planes. I have been using a Futaba 7C for the past few years.

My Question is... Is it possible to assign the various switches on a DX7 to different functions. Specifically I would like to assign the Timer to the gear switch on the upper left corner of the radio. On my Futaba 7C I have the ability to assign the switches to the functions I want, but it doesnt appear you can do this on the DX7.

On all of my other planes I have the timer programmed to the left upper most switch (trainer switch on the 7C), and I really dont want to have to re-train myself for a differnet radio if I dont have too.

Thanks

Dont think so.  To start the timer you have to press both buttons on the right of the screen together.  Then press one of them to stop, the other to reset.

AAAAHHHH. To start my timer on my DX7, all I have to do is press the clear button.

I don't think you can assign the timer to a different switch or button.

The switches are not programable, what they are is what they are.

Cheers

Thanks for the replies.

Looks like I need to train myself to a differnet system. Grrrrrrr.
