Acetone on Monocote?

IF, and with capital letters, if you can clean up the CA witout getting any acetone on the seam line, it will work without damaging the Monokote. I would use a clean rag and make a pad just bigenough to cover the spot, then wet the rag and hold it in place for a few minutes then gently wipe at the CA. It may not come up in one application, but keep gently working at it and it will come up.
The problem is getting the liquid on the seam line, It eats the color/adheasive big time.Early on, I heard to use a Q tip wet with acetone to seal down the edges of trim work. My first attempt was less than OKas I had to much acetone on the Q tip and it ran under a slight pucker in the trim. I reacted by trying to push it out using my finger. Iinstantly pushed out and area of color almost th size of my finger print.
A little is OK, a little more is awful.

Acetone will not hurt the covering, if you keep it off the seams as it may disolve the adhisive. However, it will do little to remove CA glue. For that use the solvent they sell for that purpose. Or nitromethane, or high nitro content fuel.

I have not had much luck removing cured CA with plain Acetone. Debonder works better for me. I think acetone is one of the ingredients but it doesn't do much by itself.
Most of the CA brands also have debonder

I use the technique Campgems mentioned and it works quite well.
Acetone evaporates VERY quickly, so it doesn't have much time to dissolve the CA if left uncovered.
Applying it to a small rag and holding the rag in the surface, slows down evaporation, giving it more time to dissolve the CA.

Hi!
Acetone will not hurt any of the plastic coverings!
The best way of removing Ca glue is to use pure nitro! Acetone is no good and debonder is soo expensive and not that good either!
