Default Noob question on c of g

Hi all, I have got mysellf a second hand Giles 202 1.5 meter and have a new 46 size engine ect and ime nearly ready for its test flight. When you do the c of g do you have fuel in the tank or do you do it empty! Sory for the question but its been a while since i was up in the air :O) .

I agree, empty. The reason is that the plane must be capable to be correctly controlled when the fuel tank is empty. This assumes you have a conventional configuration where the fuel tank is in front of the CG. Other configurations may require something else.

And the only time that this is a moot point is when the tank is mounted at the CG balance point or electrics.
