I posted this comment in your other thread but it was buried at the bottom. The only real issue with rds8k is the stunning silence you get if you ask if anyone has a compatible buddy box. This is easily remedied with a used rd8000 or other older model. If you don't have need for buddy boxing, no problem. It is a very fine radio and as Ken pointed out, it is hard to beat the 94102 servo.
Yeah, that would kinda stink.. I might be meeting a guy out at an airfield Sunday.. I'll probably wait and ask him what the normal is around here.. Thanks for the info..!
I used to have a bunch of older 72 MHZ Airtronics radios that are 4 and 6 channels. Since getting a RDS 8000 and now the SD-10G (which is a completely awesome radio by the way) I don't have any use for them. I'll look and see if any of them are still in good shape. If you want a buddy box system I'll be more than happy to send one of them to you, then you won't ever have any issues with finding a buddy box as you will have your own buddy box. You will need to purchase a trainer cord to connect the radio to the buddy box for it though.

You can get that from Hobby People here for $19.99:
<a href="http://www.hobbypeople.net/index.php/radios-servos/transmitter-accessories/trainer-cables/airtronics-trainer-system-cable-rd-rds-vg-systems.html" target="_blank">http://www.hobbypeople.net/index.php...g-systems.html
</a>
Or you can get it from Tower Hobbies for $18.29:

</a>You can get one from Radical RC for $8 here:

However, I don't know why they are so much cheaper. But I've always gotten good quality equipment from Radical RC, so I think you could trust them.

If you are handy with a soldering and aren't afraid of building one yourself you can find the information you need to build your own trainer cord here:
http://users.belgacom.net/TX2TX/tx2t...2txgb7.htm#top
Use the one labeled Sanwa (Outside the US Airtronics radios are sold under the name Sanwa).Be advised though, if you short the wrong wires you may damage your transmitter which might possibly void your warrenty. So if you want to build your own make sure you test it to make sure everything is wired correctly and you have no shorts any of the pins.

Let me know if you want the buddy box. PM me your address and when I get back home on Sunday (I'm at a warbird event this weekend covering it for RCU) I'll look and make sure if I have one, and if I do I'll box it up and send it to you.

Let me know

Ken

It's no trouble at all. In fact, I would prefer to do it. I have all those old radios that are never going to get any use any longer, all they are going to do is sit there. This way I can see that they are still usefull in some sense. I'd much rather you get the use out of them.

Hey Folks,
I am trying to find someone with experience with this Turnigy 9ch TX. I have one and love it. It has been great for me for seveal planes curently being flown. I really want to increase the tension on the throttle stick. I see in the manuel that you can increase the tension of the springs to get the "feel" you what in the other controls but nothing for he throttle stick. I would like for there to be more pressure required to move the throttle. I fly 3D with this controler and I find that the throttle is way to "sensitive" when trying to hover and move the rudder around without adjusting the throttle. Just need to increase the tension on the throttle stick to make it harder to move. Anyone know if this is adjustable on this TX. I have a few other TX's and they seem to have more ofa "notchy" feel to them and you can bend the springto put more pressure on the throttles "notched wheel" to make ita more positive lock on the stick position. This one does not have a notched feel to it at all itis totally smooth... hoping that there is some adjustment...Anyone know??

Thaks for any help out there guys!!
