Default Parkzone Visionaire help!!

Hey Guys,

I have done about 10 flights with the visionaire and now have a problem with the servos (mostly elevator) fluttering back and forth when the throttle is 50% or more. I had noticed it once before, landed the plane and reset everything and it seemed to work fine after. Now it does it every time. Everything is normal less then 50% throttle. The motor does seem to be slightly louder now also. Any idea what it might be?? Really appreciate the help in advance!!

Since it happens with the motor going up and down, you probably have a vibration. Check for prop damage, then check to see that the motor is mounted securely. Balance the prop if you haven't already also. All that said, I'd worry about your receiver if vibration is causing the servos to twitch. That used to happen sometimes with the old 72mhz radios, but with the solid state design of the 2.4ghz it shouldn't. Another possible cause is your BEC voltage cutting out when the motor is at full throttle. So use an old servo plug or extension to check the voltage at your receiver with an electrical meter if the vibration hunch doesn't pan out.

I'm glad you found it. I'd still worry about vibration causing that issue though. Your receiver definitely shouldn't cause twitching like that, even with heavy vibration. I'd suspect the servo pots more than anything else. But it's entirely possible that your prop issue has alerted you to a problem that was preexisting, and now you have a chance to fix it before it costs you a plane.

It ended up not being the prop. I called park zone and they thought the problem was standard. I call BS. What do you recommend I do?

I hope you got this fixed... a quick check of google shows Jester is very likely exactly right. Servo's go bad regularly.
(the AS3X system, or any gyro does tend to be hard on servos)
you could try plugging in a different servo into the elevator channel and see if it's the servo or the receiver...
after confirming which component is at fault I'd call horizon back and explain what's going on.
