another esc motor matching question

New to planes and especially electrics. Building a micro telemaster with listed AUW of 8-12 Oz.

Have a DX6
Lemon Receiver

6g servos

Monokote covering
I went to my LHS and asked about a micro motor. They had the following, He weighed it in store and it was slightly heavier than the motor Hobby Express recommended at 25.5g (he didn't just go by weight, but he admitted he was not a plane guy, only quads)
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...er_2050kv.html
He recommended an 8 X 3.8 prop, but their speed controllers were higher dollar ones. He suggested a 9a would suffice (not sure of the make).
I plan on running a 2s 20c Lipo at 800mah
What speed controller would best suit this setup? Was looking at a 10a Turnigy but then got to researching this online with others setups and it seems as though I would be a little on the low side of the power rating, but then alot of the setups were for 3s it seemed.
I know enough about electricity to know that bad things can happen when you don't know what you are doing.
I am not completely confident in the employees recommendation of a 9a ESC that they had in stock. Hopefully I have enough info in here for someone to walk me through the figures to pair up an ESC to this motor.
I purchased the motor and prop but can return it if it is completely inappropriate for the plane, but would like to still support the LHS if possible.

Looking at the specs for the recommended motor, you probably need to go up to a 12 amp ESC. You probably won't actually draw that hardly ever, but a little headroom is good to prevent overheating. It will also allow you to go up on the prop a little if you decide that the recommended power system is just a bit too weak for you.
