I'm building a new engine mount out of plywood to install a Evolution .46 into a Goldberg Eagle 2. I found on the Goldberg site that the Engine incidence is Right 0 and Down 8. Does this mean I have the engine 2 deg to the right and 8 deg down. Is it ok to assume that the rail that my mount will go on is already 8 deg down.

Let's skip that for now...

Make your mount, and place it on the rails. Look at it from the side. If the engine looks like it's pointing down slightly, you're ok, if it doesn't, just add a few washers (to the rear screws) between the ply mount and the rails, and that will give to down thrust.

It's right 2. Same principle I imagine. Have the engine pointing to the right ever so slightly.

Don't worry over much about the right thrust. The Eagle is an easy airplane to fly, and the absence of the right thrust will not be noticed. Use washers as you were previously advised to set the down thrust. You can remove washers as needed if you find that you have too much down thrust. Experience makes me believe that you will end up with about 3 or 4 degrees of downthrust when everything is trimmed out for hands off, level flight

you can trim the right thrust on a plane that size with a little rudder
