Default Ultra Stik 40

Found what I think is a good deal on an Ultra Stik 40 with a Saito 72 4s engine, flown only about 10 flights, no damage, no crashes. Price of $250 for plane and motor, what do you guys think of the price?

If both the motor and the plane only had 10 flights on them I would say that thats a good price.

Okay, I bought it, no manual, the engine runs great 9850 with a 13x6 prop. I need some advise on how to hook up the the ailerons..do I hook up the outboards just as ailerons, the inboard as flaps, or all as ailerons, using the flaparon option???? I have a Futaba 6xas tx, that has the flaparon option.

Thanks,

JIm

There was a post on exactly this issue not too long ago. I bet you can find it if you search for 6xas and ultra stik. Good luck.

That saito 72 is a sweet engine and a power
house also. It will make that stick sing with the best
of them.

The setup can pretty much be how you want. I have mine (.60 ultra stick) setup for outboards as ailerons, inboards as flaps. My JR 652 doesn't let me double the flaps as ailerons AND use the crow (it's an either or situation)--which I chose to do. The plane rolls sufficiently (for me) with just two ailerons. I set my flaps at about 45ΒΊ and it puts its nose in the air when they are turned on, and takes a LOT of down elevator for level flight. I have thought of mixing them, but the amount of elevator changes in relation to the speed so I haven't done that yet. If goes nose up with the crow also, so I am thinking about reducing the flaps to the same angle as the ailerons (in the crow position), but I want to wait until a really windy day to see if it will fly backwards. I hope you like yours as much as I do mine!
