i am looking for a biggner plane

i have been flying electric planes for about a few years now and now want to get into glow planes. i would want a aerobatic plane that would be good for a biggner like me. i would want a plane that is not to big( under 70in. wingspan). if anyone can help me please respond.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

A good transition plane from electric to glow would be the 4*40. You've already got some flying skill so a true trainer isn't needed.
The 4*40 is docile enough whent he control throws are reduced 30% that is can be used as a primary trainer. It is aerobatic enough that it could successfully compete at Sportsman or Intermediate Pattern.
Initially, build it by the instructions. Many people will recommend clipping the wings.. but its hard to put the extra span back on if you decide you need it. Use any .40 to .46 engine.
Use a LOW PITCH prop! Ideal with Magnum XL .40 is an APC 11X4. With a .46, if it has the ground clearance use the APC 12.25 X 3.75. (I used the .40 on mine and it was PLENTY of power) The reason people recommend clippng the wings is it loves to float on by the runway with the engine at idle... Using a 10X6, it can stay in the air almost indefinitely at idle The longer lower pitch prop improves vertical climb, and allows you to easilly do full-stop landings with the engine running.
Take-off tip... slowly advance the throttle. If you advance the throttle too fast, taildraggers tend to do a 90 deg turn on you.

Any Piper Cub makes a reasonable trainer. Again... note the tip on taildraggers and throttle management.
The Edge 540... (as Montey Python would say) is WAY OUT! You better be familiar with high performance aerobatics first.
The 4*40 is available via most hobbt shops, www.sigmfg.com and Towerhobbies.com (and a BUNCH of other sources.) Tower has a listing of everythig you need to get one built.
I do recommend building using yellow glue in place of CA... Cheaper, doesn't add appreciably to the time it takes to build it either. (I built one in 3 days from box to test flight using yellow glue, and could do it in 36 hours if I needed to.) Plus, the yellow glue seems to hold the lite ply better than CA. (especially laminating the fuselage doublers)

You might want to look at the Slow poke as well. Cubs, you can never go wrong with a cub! And if you're confident, look atteh Super Sprotster by GP..
the edge with a 1.2.. That's a big chunk! Big fast plane, and and a large engine! Big bucks! save that for later!!
