CA Debonder won't get CA or Epoxy off!
I got some Pacer Zap CA debonder.
I can't get that CA off the unsheeted wing!! I tried rubbing it. I tried lightly sanding it with a file, I even tried picking at it with a pin.
It just won't go. I also have fuse CA and Epoxy problems.
Big Problems.
How do I do it right?
Thanx!

PS Let's wait till CArl Wright invents us some non-dripping CA!

RE: CA Debonder won't get CA or Epoxy off!
I don't know how to get epoxy off (except sanding), but Acetone works great for removing CA glue. I had a speed controller switch that I accidentaly got CA glue on. Could't move the switch to save my life. I soaked it in Acetone overnight and the switch is as good as new. I never tried it on a balsa wing yet, so I don't know if the acetone would have any bad effects on the balsa. I would try a test piece first.

If you are trying to get something off that is epoxied on, you can use your heat gun to loosen it, but if it is balsa coated with epoxy, you are screwed. A lot of heat will loosen a part glued with epoxy so you can get it off. Don't burn the wood.

Epoxy peel off da covering? way cool!
Where can u buy Acetone in small bottles?
Spags (only in MA) has the Huge Bottles of Watery Acetone for like $15.
Anyway, Y doesn't debonder work? I mean, it's called debonder! (Odd why people call it debonder. Why not call it Unreliable Gelatinous Thingy?)

Me again. You need to leave the debonder on a long time and let it soak through the dried CA.

Just like the shampoo bottles say "Rinse and repeat as necessary."

Depending on just how bad the situation is, it might be easiler to peel off a small bit of covering and put on a patch. Just a thought.

most of the debonder I've used is acetone in a different package and was always clear, sounds like you have a pvc cleaner solvent.
