My second plane was an Areomaster bipe kit. 60 size. This was way out of production but found it at a sale still in the box. This was my first ever kit and second plane. built extremely light and floated dead stick real well. Most bipes tend to float like a brick. take offs are tricky if this is the first tail dragger. slow steady increase in speed until the tail comes up the a quicker smooth increase in rpms until at full throttle while keeping it balanced on the mains and running straight down the field. This is to make sure you have enough speed up to make the ailerons effective. Too soon in the air an it will stall over and DIE. Landings are keeping the power on until you clear the edge of the field the idle back. CG is very important.

Bonedaddy... Give me a OOOHHH YEA!!! The Waco BIP lands slow and easy...Flys even better... Just be ready on take off because it wants to be in the air right away... I could see someone tip stalling it on take off. The first time I put it in the air I was worried about it because of all the stories I hear about BIP's and it was my first... I was just taxiing trying to get a feel for it's ground habbits... Got a little fast and it lifted and almost tip stalled it... Extra power saved me... plus didn't panic...

lets just leave it at this:
If you want a bipe, fine your choice your cash. if you get it on a buddy box for your first flights then i say go for it! As long as you can have help the first few flights untill you get used to the tail dragger and more aerobatic config. of that type of plane. have a blast! let us know what you get and happy flying!

Try the Kyosho PT17 or the Super Stearman ... both fly well and you need not worry. As for orientation since when do we really need to see the details of the plane to fly it. We always fly by seeing the heading and what was the last orientation. Bipes are easy to see. What make of the Waco 60 size is nice? Thanks.

Hello All,
Its nice to be important, but its more important to be nice ...
He who dies with the most toys is, none-the-less, still dead.
In my earlier lives, I wrote these two sayings. The first when I was
Confucious and the second during Roman Times. I admit I had trouble
with the second as we had no toys. But my forethought indeed finished
it for me.
I like the 21st Century B.T.W. For those billions who don't know, B.T.W.
is internet talk for by-the-way.
Fly high, always high!
