From: gone,
Well... if that rudder servo is set for centered rudder... you have a serious problem. Same with the elevator (but QUITE not as bad)
The servo arms need to be perpendicular to the pushrod when the control surface is centered. to be offest 45 deg (like that rudder servo) would mean you get GREAT response one direction and essentially no response the other direction.
I hope the ailerons are set up evenly... if they aren't then I give the plane 1 flight to live.

Good luck with your maiden, and enjoy
I see that your switch is not mounted to the fuse,
I hope you are not planning to put and remove the wing to turn it on/off.
One suggestion is to put that switch on the left side of the fuse with ON at the back. This way if you hit something in air your receiver have a chance of being ON. This is ofcourse if you hit something in air and survive.
Leaving the charge side out of the plane on left helps to measure the battery, you don't have to remove and put all the rubber bands every time.

I like the pattern you used for covering it, and the front hatch. that will make getting to the tank a lot easier, and you'll probably have to (I usually do).
I agree with Cobra about the switch. You don't want to have to pull the wing off between flights. If you mount it on the left side of the fuselage, it will also keep most of the fuel/oil residue out of it.
What are you going to do with the rest of your winter, start on your second plane?
Good luck and have fun!

Great looking job, but I see one thing I'd fix. You're using one of those adjustable arms on elevator. Those arms are rather flimsy and flex easily. They work great for throttle and on light loads, but I personally woulnd't trust it on the elevator. Replace it with a regular arm.

looks great! And if you don't already know (not taking anything from RCU just trying to help him out) there is a site where ALOT of RC pilots from all over Canada are it's called rc canada www.rccanada.ca and you could find a really nice instructor there and work around both your scheduales to get you the most fliht time possible! Lots of great people there and you can always hook-up with the members there near you for a good time at the field!! gl

pt-power, good luck. Way back when, I joined a local club in Halifax. Never got very far - I only ever got out to their field 4 times as I recall (too young to drive!). I distinctly remember going out with my three channel kadet with MRC radio and watching one of the club members pulling a very fast, tight, loop right in front of us. In retrospect I think he was trying to bust the wings... but my plane passed the test! The plane met its fate some time later in the woods near Shelburne during an ill fated attempt to go-it-alone.
