Gee Art we have chewed too much of the same dirt, I grew up in Paramount and North Hollywood, way back in the sixties, went to Santa Monica many times, Surfed Hunington most of my youth, and we were both Special Forces. The world is just too small

I had a buddy talk me into giving my Tiger Trainer a try. Couldn't get hooked up with the guy that was gonna teach for a few days and apparently my friend couldn't wait.
Amazingly enough I made a few circles before crashing.
Funny part is, is that since learning, I've had a few flights that were SHORTER than the first.

Wife and kids bought me a 'lectric sailplane with a pulse rudder in the 80's 'cause they thought I needed a hobby.
I did.
My first flight was the whole battery charge! 6-7 minutes, and been flying (something) nearly every day since.
Still remember it like yesterday, even the 4+ hour search for it in the high grass.
