Default Need Help--new to 4 strokes

Hi Guys, I just picked up a 4 Star 60 with Saito 80 (I believe). Anyway, I ran into a few issues:
1) I'm used to having the fuel needle about 1 1/2 turns out on average to have the air-fuel about right (depending on air temps). Where do I start with this Saito 80 4 stroke? Could it be 3 or 3 1/2 turns out? It was 85 degree F here today.

2) To prime my OS engine, I put my finger over the carb opening. Is there no such place on the Saito? Is this not needed? (I did get it started)

3) Do these engines smoke a little more than the 2 strokes?

THANKS!

Check [link=http://saito-engines.info/index.html]this site[/link] out Paul. I think you will find it very useful and informative.

If you use an electric starter, you never need to prime any of your engines

11/2 to 2 turns on the needle valve should be about right for starting, and yes they do smoke a bit more.

Saito says to put your finger over the muffler hole and turn it a few times to prime. You can see the fuel being drawn thru the fuel line. Remove your finger and turn a couple of more times to make sure it isn't fuel locked. Then, crank it. My .56 Saito draws fuel fine this way and cranks right up.

Yeah, I saw that on their website. But you can only do that once---or wait until that baby cools down!

Yes, it is only for priming for the first crank of the day.
